Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

This page is maintained by RateShield.AI Ltd to answer common privacy questions about the RateShield.AI platform. It is informational and does not constitute legal advice.

1. Who we are

RateShield.AI Ltd (“RateShield”, “we”, “us”) provides public construction lead intelligence to subcontractors. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, dashboard, and onboarding flows.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, business name, email, role, trade region, and authentication identifiers.
  • Billing data: processed by our payment processor; we receive last-4, brand, and subscription status only.
  • Usage data: log data, device/browser metadata, and product analytics needed to operate the service.
  • Lead and territory preferences: the configuration you provide so we can route relevant public-tender leads to you.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, secure, and improve the RateShield platform.
  • To deliver scored leads to the territories and trade categories you have subscribed to.
  • To send transactional communications (account, billing, security, service notices).
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) performance of a contract to deliver the service you subscribed to; (b) legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the platform; (c) consent where required (e.g. optional analytics); and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing and subprocessors

We share personal information only with vetted service providers that help us run the platform — including cloud hosting, database/auth, payment processing, email delivery, and product analytics. These providers act on our instructions under contractual data protection terms. We do not sell personal information.

6. International transfers

Personal information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Data retention

We retain account and lead-routing data for as long as the account is active, and for a limited period afterward to satisfy legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. You may request deletion as described below.

8. Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including transport encryption, access controls, row-level security on the database, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we continuously improve our controls.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPEDA), you may request to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. California residents have the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. To exercise any right, contact us using the details in Section 12.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session integrity, plus optional analytics cookies where permitted. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Children

RateShield is a B2B service and is not directed to children under 16.
